FOOT SURGERY

Complaints on the feet can have a variety of causes. The individual view of local pain is often not enough and can lead to incorrect treatment pathways. It is therefore all the more important to visit an experienced foot specialist.
The most common diseases are malalignment and wear on the toe joints, arthrosis of the ankles and cartilage diseases of the ankle. Not infrequently there are connections between joint wear, bone deformity and tendon and capsule weakness. These connections must be considered and treated in their complexity.
A special topic in this area is the so called vertical talus (flat foot) which can be treated with relatively easy methods when still young but can lead to pain and deformation in adult life.
